Why yan.ad?

A shorter professional address

I used several domains before this one, including yanuar.co and yanuar.dev. I chose yan.ad because it is short, close to the name Yan Ad, and easy to use for both the portfolio and email.

Other domains I considered

I considered yanu.ar, but the registration cost was higher and the pronunciation was less obvious for Indonesian speakers. yanuar.id was already registered.

Those constraints made yan.ad the practical choice.

Site and email

The portfolio is hosted on Vercel. Email for the domain runs through Zoho Mail, and the public contact address is me@yan.ad.

The implementation of the site may change, but the domain is intended to remain the stable address for my work, open source projects, and writing.
